Hygiene Manager Course
To strengthen food safety supervision in licensed food premises, FEHD has introduced the Hygiene manager and Hygiene Supervisor Scheme.
Since 2005, our company and the Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre have jointly organized the "Food Hygiene Manager Course" such that personals engaged in the food trade have an alternative to attain the recognized qualification.
In order to suit the staff of the food business with long and irregular working hours, we plan a fast-track "2-day Food Hygiene Manager Course" and especially arrange the course to be conducted in a transport-convenient training centre in Mongkok such that course members are able to obtain promptly the "Food Hygiene Manager Certificate".
Our consultants are professionals and possess recognized qualification. They have in-depth knowledge and understanding in food business. The training is useful and practical. We will select a number of peculiar cases for analysis and for case study. Course members will be learning under an easy atmosphere with better understanding.
We are aiming at service of excellence. We realize that many catering corporations have large numbers of employees who are required to attend the food hygiene course. Hence, it is difficult for large number of employees to leave their post at the same time. In this regard, our company has adopted a flexible arrangement. Should the number of course participants reach a certain required number of conducting a training class, our consultant will go to the corporations' venue to conduct the course. It is anticipated that such arrangement will ease staff deployment of the corporations.
In 2006, the Correctional Services Department (CSD), for the first time, has invited our Director, Mr. Wong Chi-chiu to conduct a "Hygiene Manager Course" for the prisoners. Our service is also in line with the goal and mission of CSD, i.e. to assist the prisoners to rehabilitate and merge into society in future. This is also a proof that our service has all along gained the support and recognition from the food business industry.

Unnecessary or undue delay to the issuance of licence could readily be avoided.
According to the Air Pollution Control (Furnaces, Oven and Chimneys) (Installation and Alteration) Regulations (Cap 311A), Owner of food premise (new application and transfer licences) should apply to EPD for permission if the total usage of cooking equipments is over 1150 Megajoules per hour.
We are very experienced in application for related permission for clients, and we are also included in the list of "Directory of Air Pollution Control Consultants" of EPD.
